Since mid-January, we've been heading to Buffalo Wild Wings to watch the KU games with a great group of fellow Jayhawks. Today will be no different, as we watch the Hawks take on that one guy and his team from North Carolina.
Friday night, we watched too, and we made Jayhawk sugar cookies that the kids handed out at half time. One of the guys who comes is a writer for the Vegas Review-Journal, and he took some great pics of the kids. They didn't make the paper, but he sent them for me to share.
The article about our group is here: http://www.lvrj.com/sports/amid-madness-local-ku-fans-make-fine-company-144133155.html

You know we're proud jayhawks!

National champions is what we are! Oh yeah. Uh huh. Oh yeah. Un huh.
We've been celebrating all week. Sam stayed up late watching games and cheering and watching One Shining Moment. Oh yeah, uh huh.
Sunday we made the trek in the relative cold to Lawrence and watched the parade for the NATIONAL CHAMPION KANSAS JAYHAWKS. Oh yeah.
It was cold. The wind was brutal. We waited for almost an hour. But we were rewarded by seeing the jayhawks up close. I did manage to keep myself from personally rewarding Bill Self (Mary said no stalking). Sam and Reed got to give all the player a high five. Of course, Sam's biggest moment was getting to high five Sasha Kaun.
