Last week, on a lazy off day, I went upstairs and put up my hair to get it out of my face. When I came back downstairs where Sam was watching TV, Sam looked up and said, "Mommy, you look beautiful. I like your hair like that, up in that ponytail. It's so cute!" (I know, I don't get many compliments!)
Then this morning, at Walmart, we were making a return. It's very cold here today and I had hurried him in the store to get out of the cold. The clerk said something to Sam about how he looked good and bundled up. He said, "I know. I have my boots, and my hat, and my mittens. I'm all bundled up so I don't freeze my booty off." The clerk laughed. Then he said, "My mom says that." A proud parenting moment for sure.
